What to do around Juan-les-Pins

We have an apartment for a week in June in Juan les Pins. What can I do around there? Where is the furthest place I can drive to and be back for the night? Is Monaco too far? I was thinking of going to Grasse, Cannes, Nice and even Aix-en-Provence(is Aix too far?) I have 3 kids age 2, 5 and 7. What other kiddy things or family stuff that I can do in my 1 week?

Thanks

Well, you will be sitting on the best sandy beach and child-friendly gentle sea on the entire Eastern Riviera, so there%26#39;s a clue!

Aix is really a bit to far unless you fancy a three hour drive each way. With three kids? I think not personally.

Closer to hand, the best family attraction has to be Marineland at Biot/ near Antibes.

Monaco is an easy run, around an hour each way via Nice. You might want to consider the train for that - direct line takes you to Monaco from Juan le Pins. See the Musee Oceonographique - its a wow.

The convenient limit might be East to Ventimiglia/ San Remo over the Italian border, and West to Frejus/ St Maxime St Tropez (at a pinch!)

The spots to go for are Nice (masses to see and do) followed by Antibes - the b-i-g-g-g--g boats and Cannes for top people watching and shopping.

If you fancy medieval and inland there%26#39;s Eze, St Paul de Vence and Haut de Cagnes

Enough to keep you going?

Thanks Andrew for your suggestions. Yes, Biot is a possibility too. What about Tourrettes-sur-loup? Is it worth the drive? Also, can you tell me the approximate driving times from JLP to Grasse,Cannes, Nice or even Monaco. Thanks so much!

Drivetimes? JLP to Grasse - less than a half hour, Cannes 15 minutes, Monaco a little over an hour, Nice, under a half hour

Tourettes? Its a textbook medieval fortified village like many others in Provence. The one I recommend is much closer and has many more interesting features which is the %26quot;hidden gem%26quot; of Haut de Cagnes. Go here I have written up more detail and other options

Hi Andrew,

Just wondering if youknow of any good vineyards to visit around JLP? Thanks.

For driving distances and approximate time, go to mappy.com.

From Juan-les-Pins you can easily go to Tourettes-sur-Loup and even on to Gourdon in part of one day. Another day, go to Vence and St-Paul-de-Vence. Then old Mougins and Valbonne on your way to and from Grasse. Some of those might not work well with young children, however--I%26#39;ll let others speak to that issue.
