My wife and I will be staying in Nice for one night in late August before flying home from our vacation in Corsica. Does anyone know of a small, two-star hotel they could recommend in the old part of Nice? We%26#39;re looking for clean with character, not fancy with all mod%26#39; cons%26#39;.

I may get shot down on this one but Vieux Nice itself is not really the place for a hotel There are hundreds of hotels nearby but very few within - the old buildings and lack of lifts make it little sense.- Its more usual to stay in the hotels around and visit the old part - its all just a few hundred yards anyway.

Look for Kyriad Vieux port, close to the Old Port and 5 minutes from Old Town

We enjoyed Hotel Harvey...a pedestrian walk-way is around both corners!!
