Maison Auer confectionary

Any recommendations/favorites from what they sell there? Are the prices jacked-up for tourists or fairly in line with other shops?

Fairly in line. It is a market. Value for money.

Then, of course, the value chain is different depending on where you are, whom you are, to whom and how you sell and so forth.

I like the chocolate-coated almonds here, I think they are one of the specialities they do. Also, if you particularly like any of their chocolates or crystallised fruit, then they sell these wooden hand-painted gift boxes which would be an original souvenir or present, which you would fill with your chosen fruit or chocolate. They are quite pricey though. Generally, I think the prices will be on the high side, but not outrageous. Do you speak French? The website might give you a better idea what to expect and there are prices too so you can decide for yourself how expensive it all is, but a small clear bag of choclate almonds isn%26#39;t too bad, the prices quoted on the web will be for the fancy boxed gift sets probably.

Thanks for the link! Yeah, definitely the choc almonds. The choc %26quot;orangettes%26quot; look like something I might go for too. I%26#39;m not sure if US customs would give me trouble at the airport with those candied fruit though, I know they block fruit
