taxi or shuttle from Paris Bercy train station to Opera area

We shall be arriving Paris Bercy by train on a Tuesday morning around 8:30am from Milan. Is there any taxi stand at the Bercy station? Is it difficult to get a taxi or should we book shuttle in advance? How is the traffic at that time? There are 9 of us with 18 luggages.

Even most full sized shuttle vans will only carry six-to-eight passengers and their luggage. So with a traveling party that large and that much luggage, you will need two(2) shuttle vans. The average taxi fare from Gare de Bercy to the Opera area should probably run 12-15 € (w/luggage) and with your travelling party and that much luggage, you would probably have to take three different taxis. My guess is that the cost of three(3) regular TAXI PARISIEN taxis from outside of the station would still be less than two(2) shuttle vans or a mini-bus from a shuttle service.

Just make sure that each %26#39;group%26#39; has either a print out of the LOCATION/ACCESS from your hotel%26#39;s web site...or the exact name and address of the hotel written down to show each driver, to avoid and miscommunication or error.

Thanks KDKSAIL. Is it difficult to find 3 taxi at that hour in the morning, i.e. 8:30am? When is Paris%26#39; rush hour in the morning and in the evening?

There are taxis at Bercy stations since they are aware of train arrivals.

Harder to find one between trains.

I would split the group and take 3 taxis.

Faster than shuttles that show on time or not.

Yes, it%26#39;ll be full rush hour, but you%26#39;ll be inside Paris, so that%26#39;s not that important (it would matter more if you had to struggle with suburban traffic), and you%26#39;re on vacation. If the worse came to the worse, you could always take the line 14 métro to Pyramides. But you%26#39;ll find your taxis all right.

Thanks everyone.
