My boss arrives this Sunday for a 2 week stay. His brother owns an apartment in Paris - I don%26#39;t know the exact area. He was thinking that he would like him and his wife to cook a few meals for themselves to save some money.
He already knows the 2 main markets, but will miss the first one since he arrives the day after it is open and, the other one isn%26#39;t until later in the week. Experts probably know which I%26#39;m refering to, I certainly don%26#39;t LOL.
Are there any other fresh food markets which are open on Mondays? Or, is there a particular %26quot;supermarket%26quot; (I don%26#39;t know what they call these in France) which you might suggest?
I appreciate the help!

Hi:
A local may be able to tell you more, but I was not able to find a %26quot;major%26quot; market that is open on Monday. Here%26#39;s a list of the big ones...

If Tuesday will do, I%26#39;m pretty sure the Raspail Market and the Rue Mouffetard market are open on Tues. morning.
For an unusual supermarket, they should try le Grande Epicerie at Le Bon Marche at 38, rue de Sèvres. You can buy some wonderful, unusual things there.
Hope this helps!

Thanks! I%26#39;ll pass that info along to him!

Every neighborhood has a market street with permanent vendors open every day in addition to the weekly or semi-weekly roving markets. Staples, as well as a decent array of fresh produce, meat, and dairy can be found at any Monoprix.

Dear Lambkin:
I like shopping at the Rue de Buci market, which I believe is in the 6th Arrondismont. As I recall, it is open on Mondays. Also, the Rue Moufftard market is very lively as is the market on the Rue Cler, in the 7th.
