reservations for Le Cheval Rouge

I have checked all of the internet sites I know for making reservations for the Le Cheval Rouge hotel in Versailles and none of them list this hotel. In one of the discussions a web site was suggested for www.hotelfrance-versailles.com, but when checking it, it was for Hotel de France. There are so many reviews of this hotel, but how did you reviewers make your reservations? Any help you can offer would be appreciated

a friend recommended this hotel and we found it in fodor%26#39;s guidebook. the website is hard to find even with google but i fonud it on fodor%26#39;s. It is very close to the castle. We booked it over the fax for June. They confirmed and worked with me through email too.

This unpretentious old hotel, built in 1676, is in a corner of the town market square, close to the château and strongly recommended if you plan to explore the town on foot. Some rooms around the old stable courtyard have their original wood beams.

Thanks so much for the info on Le Cheval Rouge. I eventually found a web site for the hotel and did book rooms with them. They were very responsive to my inquiries. Again thanks for your help.
