Dinner Cruise

Hi all - We%26#39;re heading for a romantic weekend to Paris next week and we%26#39;ve heard about the dinner cruises available on the Seine - can anyone recommend if this is worth doing and also with which company we should go with?

thanks!

I am also interested in doing a dinner cruise but my 8 year old daughter will be with us. Could anyone recommend a company/cruise who cater for children

Many thanks

Most of us here on the forum are of the opinion that you may want to do dinner before going on the boat. The food is expensive and although good, not spectacular. The restaurants in Paris are wonderful, but you never really know what you%26#39;re going to get on a Bateaux Mouche Dinner Cruise. You would probably be better off just taking the cruise without the meal.

For the 8-year old, if you just want to cruise the Seine, consider the Batobus. It%26#39;s basically a boat that is a hop-on, hop-off bus with 12 or 13 stops including Notre Dame and the Louvre. I think an all-day ticket is only about 12 Euro.

If you do want to do a meal cruise, they are not as expensive at lunchtime (though still not cheap). We went on bateaux parisiens, really enjoyed it and would probably do it again. Just had a look at their website and they do a children%26#39;s price too ... mind you, depending on your 8 year old, she might be just as happy sitting on the bank with a French style hot dog and a packet of crisps ....
