Ballet or Opera

I will be in Paris for 2 weeks in the beginning of May and I would like to go to a ballet or opera while I am there. Could some locals give some recomendations as to what would be a good show to see at that time?

Tickets for good seats for any of these might be a problem at short notice.

If you are an opera or ballet fan, simply looking at the schedule for the Opéra Natioanl de Paris for the time frame of your intended visit will probably indicate which performances interest you most.

You should be aware that there are two(2) entirely different venues for ballet and opera in Paris: the magnificent old GARNIER OPERA and the larger, modern OPERA BASTILLE. If I were attending a performance just for the %26#39;..experience..%26#39; then I%26#39;d be inclined to select a performance at the old Garnier.
