Sorry... another question- we would like to visit the villages between Nice and Menton and have heard that the best way would be by bus. I read that bus 100 should be the one. Do we buy a ticket straight to Monaco/Menton, (we just hop on the off) or so we buy different segments as we go...

It%26#39;s Euro 1.30 regardless of distance (at least that was the price when I was there last month). You cannot buy a return. I have always bought my ticket from the driver but there is a ticket office in Nice on Avenue Jean Jaures with timetables etc so you may be able to buy tickets in advance or in multiples there.
