How to TGV from Avignon to CDG? Buy in advance?

I am having trouble checking schedules and making a reservation to travel via TGV from Avignon directly to the CDG airport. Perhaps it is not possible. I am sure we can transfer from Gare de Lyon to CDG if we must return to the former. Any ideas?

Also, is it advisable to purchase these tickets via RailEurope.com before leaving the US? They seem to be 50USD more on raileurope than when I check the SNCF.com site. But perhaps they%26#39;ll cost more if I wait to buy until we arrive in France.

Raileurope is charging full-fare plus $50. You can%26#39;t pay more than full-fare at the station.

using www.bahn.de (select Internat. Guest), the schedule shows (for Apr 26)direct TGV service from Avignon TGV to CDG at 6:39, 9:32, 13:42, 14:28, 18:41

Depending on your date of travel, you may not even have to pay full fare if you purchase your tickets on www.voyages-sncf.com

There are often discount tickets available, but usually only early in the 90 day booking period. (Use ROISSY for CDG airport when searching for fares and/or timetables on the SNCF site.)

Search the France forums for MorganB%26#39;s excellent post on using the SNCF online purchasing system before you try it. The SNCF site is not exactly user-friendly for first-timers.

As has been mentioned, you will NEVER pay as much if you buy your tickets direct, even if you buy them at the station on the day you are travelling, as you will from RailEurope or any other third-party vendor.

But yes, by all means buy them in advance. If you are travelling on a heavy travel day, you will find that trains can be fully booked.

Many thanks to you both. I followed MorganB%26#39;s instructions and have printed my tickets and saved money. Thanks again!
