so confused - we only have one night- where should we stay - honfleur or deauville and which hotel!

Honfleur = cute little port community with very interesting architecture. Charming small streets, lots of galleries and small shops. Very nice.
Deauville = Upscale beachside resort. Large palatial hotels, luxury brand shopping, the see and be seen crowd or the LV or Hermes type. Lovely turn of the century archecture. Everything is very attractive and well maintained. Home of the American Film Festival. Horseracing as well.
Very apples and oranges. Either would be nice. I tend to visit both when I travel to that area. Both are Parisian weekend destinations.
