We are planning to visit Loire Valley on Saturday April 29, 2006. Has anyone used them before? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mary

They have been around for years and are both reliable.
It really depends on the programme, chateaux included etc...

We%26#39;ve used both companies and did not notice much difference between the two. We had a mini van tour to the Loire so it was just 6 of us with a guide and a driver. The guide gave us a good history lesson on the way. We really enjoyed the three castles we got to see and we had a very good lunch. When you go with a smaller group it is a little nicer than with the big tour buses.We%26#39;ve done those too and had a good time also. The Loire is very beautiful. You will enjoy it.

I have used Paris Vision and Cityrama Tours and have both to be excellent with English speaking Guides!

Two years ago, we took a day trip with Cityrama; last year we took one with Paris Vision. Both had good points, both had less-than-good-points... The good points: The busses are comfortable, the guides are helpful, and the price is a fair one. The less-than-good-points: The guides have a %26quot;canned%26quot; spiel that they used when talking about the areas of interest; it would be hard for them NOT to have a canned spiel b/c they are leading a large group of tourists and need to cover as much information as possible. But, the information is what is found in most good guide books. If you%26#39;re looking for a general overview of the places you%26#39;re visiting, then these companies are good. I would suggest, however, NOT going on one of the bus tours. If you are willing to pay a bit more, look on their sites for the van tours. Having fewer people with you means that you%26#39;ll actually be able to ask questions w/o feeling that you%26#39;re taking up too much time.
