Time to travel from St. Remy to Villefranche

Can someone tell me how long to estimate for driving from St. Remy to Villefranche? I%26#39;m wondering if it%26#39;s doable in a day with a stop in St. Tropez on the way. I did the drive in reverse about 9 years ago but can%26#39;t honestly remember how long it took. Thanks!

In theory (You know you%26#39;re in trouble already, right?) it probably shouldn%26#39;t take you more than about 4 hours driving at a guess. I%26#39;d put the distance at around 350km.

The problem is that getting into St. Tropez on a busy day in summer can easily eat up 90 minutes, and getting out again isn%26#39;t easy either. So your nice 4 hour drive *could* turn into a six hour or more nightmare.

It all depends on the date and the day of the week.

There are other worthwhile detours off the Autoroute along the way. For example you could explore the beautiful scenery of the Mont Ste. Victoire (Cézanne%26#39;s mountain) just east of Aix-en-Provence, and/or the lovely Cistercian abbey of Le Thoronet.

In any case you can find the direct route and the route via St. Trpez at www.viamichelin.com

For more adventurous exploration, a Michelin 1:200,000 scale map of Provence would be useful.

Bonne route!

I forgot to mention that we will be travelling in Mid-May. For the most part should we be able to avoid the bad traffic in St. Tropez? Thanks again!

Should be - but should be doesn%26#39;t mean will be...

You%26#39;ll probably be fine. Have a great trip!
