Exotic Day Trip from Paris?

Hi. DH and I are looking for an easy day or 1/2 day trip from Paris to someplace new (to us) and beautiful. We%26#39;ve already visited Rouen, Normandy, Les Andelys, Chartres, Versailles, Vaux-le-vicomte, Fontainebleau, Barbizon. I considered Malmaison but decided to put that off until the roses are in bloom (we%26#39;re going in November). Any recommendations? Transportation is not an issue. Thank you all very much!

As you love beautiful things and flowers, consider a day trip to Claude Monet%26#39;s home and gardens in Giverncy (short train trip from Gare du Nord). Mind you ... hmm, November might not be so good. Dijon is fun ... even in the rain (two-hour TGV train from Paris).

Oops ... sorry, that should have been GIVERNY!

How about Reims? Since it%26#39;s November you probaly want a place where you can find plenty to do inside. Besides the champagne houses, Reims has a magnificent cathedral, several other splendid buildings and a good museum.

Plenty of places to eat too, from modest establishments all the way up to at least one place in the top tier of French restaurants - with equally stratospheric prices.

Trains from Paris take about 90 minutes and are fairly frequent.

Another possibility would be Tours - but I think Reims is a better bet in November.
