Getting to Train des Pignes Station

What%26#39;s the best way to get to the Chemins de Fer de Provence/Train des Pignes station on rue Alfred Binet? We%26#39;ll be coming from Promenades des Anglais/Rue Meyerbeer.

It%26#39;s a distance of just over 2km and the walk doesn%26#39;t look very interesting. Is there a bus or should we spend the extra on a taxi?

As ever, thanks in advance for your help.

It%26#39;s IMO nothing wrong with the walk, mostly through rather residential areas. Otherwise, there are also buses. Map e.g. at www.plan-nice.org

With a little help from a map, you can then follow the route, if you so wish, on a satellite photo available at www.google.com/maps.

You can walk on Jean Médecin to Place Général de Gaulle. You can%26#39;t miss the station. Or you can walk on Gambetta, past Avenue de Thiers up to Clément Roassal. Make a right %26#39;till you reach the station.

Gambertta is more of a local commercial street that brings you to Charles Garnier where there is a very nice market on Sunday mornings. Jean Médecin from Place Masséna to Rue de Thiers is a large shopping street (where there is lots of roadwork re: the tramway). After you walk under the railway and walk toward Place Général de Gaulle it gets more local.

It is matter of personal taste, but I would not say this an ugly walk.

Forget the cab, that%26#39;s throwing $ in the can.

Bus 4 or 7 ride on Gambetta, no 1,18,22 and 23 on or around Jean Médecin.
