Nice cities around Toulouse

Hi, I´m going to spend 3 days in Toulouse, but I might extend it so I would like to know which cities around Toulouse are worth a daytrip and which bus companies give transportation service. Maybe Montpellier?

Albi with the toulouse lautrec museum, Carcassone (largest fortified city in europe) and Cordes sur Ciel come to mind.

The cathedral in Albi is amazing, more like a fortress than a church. The sunken gardens next to the cathedral (and near the Lautrec museum) are also interesting, and the town itself is pleasant.
