Nice to Cotes de Provence region

Hello. I%26#39;m planning a trip in July for 7 days. We plan on staying in Nice a majority of the time, if not the full length; however, I would like to visit the wine region of Cotes de Provence. Can this be a day trip, or should I plan on spending a couple of days in the area, perhaps Le Arcs? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Wine is grown in Nice itself, AOC Bellet.

More wine is grown here and thee on within conveneien day-tripping distances. The area mentioned is too far off for a conveneient day-trip out from Nice. It is also quite a big area in itself.

Nice is nice....but the smaller villages are adorable...and I feel not to be missed.

Easy to get to from Nice, via bus or train, would be...

To the East......Villefranche

Eze

Monacco and Monte Carlo(larger but not favourites of mine)

To the NW.....Vence and St.Paul-de-Vence

Eze and St.P-de.V. are both perched villages..and you could do a tour of France just visiting those villages !!!! There are a lot around Nice !!!

Sorry...my map is not in front of me or I could suggest more.

We found the Tourist Information place on Promenade DesAnglais to be helpful...they suggested a train to Entrevous( ? sp.)and the country-side was lovely...the town..o.k.

You%26#39;ll enjoy whatever you do...but do add some of the country-side !!

I just directed somebody else over to this other website %26quot;vitualtourist.%26quot; It%26#39;s worth meandering. IMO, it%26#39;s very complimentary to what TA does. Here%26#39;s the Côte d%26#39;Azur segment.

I just took a peek at the %26quot;Off the Beaten Path%26quot; link down in the tips section at the bottom of the webpage. Lots of interesting tips from francophones (some English translation too). There%26#39;s some wine information there too.

Les Arcs can be reached from Nice by train. If you want to feel free you can rent a car, it is not very far. TReturn trip can be done in one day easy. If you want to visit wineries I suggest you first select which one, as you may have to reserve.
