Travel in and around Paris, CDG and Versailles

Paris Experts--I am totally confused as to what kind of metro tickets to buy for our (two people) trip to lovely Paris. I am trying to be as cost effective as possible. Our itenary is as follows:

Arrive in CDG on Friday May 26. Take the RER to the Hotel near Place d%26#39;Italie. Spend the afternoon sightseeing locally, using Metro.

Saturday May 27, Go to Versailles, return to Paris and do local sightseeing.

Sunday May 28, Go to Louvre and other local visits.

Monday 29-Wed 31 Morning, do sigtseeing in Paris. Leave 31 afternoon for 3 day visit to Belgium and Netherlands.

Return on June 3 evening for one evening to Paris and do some local sightseeing. Stay in Paris hotel

Leave June 4 to CDG and back to USA.

Should I buy a combination of Paris Visite and the 10 ticket metro package?

Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Well Friday you arrive so you are going to be tired and only have a half day. Saturday Versailles will take a large amount of the day. Sunday is really your only full day in Paris.

I suggest the carnet of 10 tickets with individual tickets for the airport ( 8 euros) and Versailles (2.65 euros) .

You would need a 5 zone 5 day Parisvisite card for 45.70 euros to cover your whole stay. Or you can spend 10.65 euros plus buy carnets of 10 at 10.70 euros each.
