a "WOW " resteraunt in the 7th or 15th

Can anyone recommend a %26quot;wow%26quot; place to eat in the 7th or 15th for a special occasion.

I have looked at Jules Verne but it does seem just a little out of my budget.

I haven%26#39;t been to these, but because you didn%26#39;t get a response, I thought I%26#39;d share a few entries from my Michelin red guide. Don%26#39;t know how %26quot;wow%26quot; they are, but the food has to be decent for them to get a star, and they are listed as cheaper than Jules Vernes:

7th:

Chamarre, 13 bd La Tour-Maubourg 01 47 05 50 18

Les Ormes, 22 r. Surcouf, 01 45 51 46 93

Jules Verne is the perfect place for special events. There is a set price menu for lunch on week days that is very good and not THAT expensive for a special occasion.

Les Ormes is one of my favorite small restaurants. It%26#39;s formal, quiet, elegant with great service and great food. It may have some of the better food in the 7th. Recommend wearing a jacket for men since it is a little more formal. A little less formal, and very cute with very good food is Fountaine de Mars in the 7th also. It has an outdoor patio near a street fountain, and it is a nice spot to eat especially when the weather is warmer.

If the places that have been suggested are not what you are looking for, you might try

www.bestrestaurantsparis.com

Their database is searchable both by area and by price, so you could narrow down your options there. You might find something that %26quot;sings%26quot; to you, and you can ask for opinions here of any that take your fancy.

I%26#39;m not sure why you are restricting yourself to the 7th and 15th arrondissements. These are not the most %26quot;restaurant-rich%26quot; areas in Paris and other areas - notably the 6th and 8th - are at most only a short metro or taxi ride away. Since the area you specify is so large, it is likely that you will have to take either the metro or a taxi to and from your chosen restaurant in any case.

Meanwhile, here%26#39;s a toast to the Auld Alliance!
