help, first time in paris

Hello,

on our trip back from Caraibe we will make a stop over in Paris, for 2 nights, in july. We do not want to ruin our beautiful holliday, so I really need your help. We are planning to book Hilton Paris, near Tour Eiffel. It is a good choice of hotel and especially of the area, for the first time in Paris? Should we try another hotel, in another area?

Thank you so much for your help

The Hilton Arc de Triomphe is newer... neither are exceptionally close to the sights, other than the Tower and the Arc...

Both have mostly positive comments on TA...

Why the Hilton - do you have some points you can use?

What%26#39;s your budget?

Hilton because we know the brand, and we can be sure that it is a good hotel..and I would prefer the one near the Tour, due to the view.

Do you have other good proposals? the budget will be arownd 200 euro/room, breakfast included.

Thank you for your help

a, and another question: how far is the Tour from the Arc? (walking, i mean)

We have just stayed at the Hilton paris and really enjoyed it.we felt it was a good area.several good restaurants nearby, convenient to the metro so easy to get anywhere.

I guess about a mile to the arc.It is also up a hill.We are in our 50s and I have a bad knee but had no problem walking along the seine to Notre Dame.

If you do not have status with hilton a lot of the regular rooms do not have tour views. However if you can manage the executive level you will be treated well with a good lounge. We also found the concierge staff at the Hilton excellent, probably the best we have encountered anywhere.
