Airport to the Acanthe hotel

Hi again

My wife and I will be arriving in Bordeaux on Tuesday morning. What would be the most convenient/cheapest way of getting from the airport to the Acanthe hotel? Is there a coach service that drops off near the Acanthe?

Any advice would be appreciated.

The easiest way to get into town from the airport is the JetBus service, a sort of shuttle which leaves every 45 minutes and stops at several locations in Bordeaux. The fare is 6.80 euros per person, one way, and the driver makes change.

The stop closest to the Acanthe would be Place Gambetta. Get off there and walk abour 800 meters straight down the Rue de la Porte de Dijeaux (it becomes the Rue St. Remi after several blocks).

The practicality of this will depend on how much luggage you have and whether or not it is on wheels. Although you%26#39;ll be walking a straight trajectory that gently slopes downhill, if you think that schlepping baggage over this distance would be a problem I%26#39;d suggest staying on the airport bus just to its final stop at the Gare St. Jean train station and then transferring to the tram.

Take the tram to the Place de la Bourse stop, which will leave you much closer to the Acanthe.
