I will be in Cannes for the first time for three days in June. What are the best things to do/see in this short period?

Not a lot of tourist scenery in Cannes. Shopping and people watching is good. Use it as a base to visit Monte Carlo, Villefranche, Saint Tropez and even Nice.

hello,
I have been there already a lot of times
My favorite places at the Cote d%26#39;Azur:
-take in Cannes a boat to the island St. Marguerite, beautiful nature and very quite
in Nice: -Chagall Museum, its a must
-flowermarket in the oldcity (in the morning)
-beside the market take the stairs to the chateau,a garden with the best view over Nice
in Antibes:
-market in the morning
-take a bus to the hotel du cap and have a drink on the terrace of the bar eden roc, one of the greatest hotels I ever saw, Kennedy etc slept here
in Monaco:
-casino
-Palace of the grimaldis, beside is the church with Grace Kellys grave....
I think, this should be enough for three days:-)))

You should visit St. Paul DeVence. It is a little walled village in the mountains. The scenery is beautiful.

I just googled St. Paul De Vence, and it looks beautiful! I will definately make a stop there, can%26#39;t wait to see it. Thanks for the recommendation!

In Cannes, visit the street with food markets; it%26#39;s amazing. There%26#39;s a huge, covered market with many different vendors at the east end of the Croisette, known primarily to locals. Just looking at all the offerings can take a good 2 hours.
Visit Le Suquet in Cannes and take a long stroll along the Croisette to look at all the boats.

My mother and I are staying at St. Paul de Vence at the end of April for a week. We plan to tour Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Merton and perhaps a wine region to the north. I will be posting back here since we plan to visit the market in Cannes on Monday morning.
