Transport from Marseille airport to Aix-en-Provence

We are flying with Ryanair to Marseille Airport in May 2006. we are initally staying in Aix-en-Provence, what is the easiest way to travel there using public transport.

Hi, I noticed that no one has replied to your post yet. I am not an %26quot;expert%26quot; for Provence, but I will be in Aix for my honeymoon in June. We will also be arriving at the Marseilles airport and our method of transportation from Marseilles airport to Aix is bus (not the most romantic), but it should take approximately 20 minutes, runs often and should cost about 10 euros each. Hope that helps!

There is bus service from Marseille airport to Aix-en-Provence. The bus runs about every half hour to the bus station in Aix from which you will probably have to take a taxi to your hotels.

The trip should take about 30-35 minutes and the one-way fare is 7.90 Euro.

Enjoy your trips!

Thanks! Hopefully taxis are nearby when the bus drops us off.

Go buckeyes!

You could also take a taxi or bus into Marseille and then the train on to Aix--that probably would be the most comfortable way to travel.

Another vote for the bus as it is direct. The bus- train combo requires a change and takes you to the same place as the bus.

Amen to that, MorganB!

Anything that avoids the Marseille SNCF station is good in my book. (I have an unfortunate history with that station, but even if I didn%26#39;t, I%26#39;d still agree with you...)

There are usually taxis at the small bus station when you arrive in Aix, but you may consider booking one as soon as you get on the bus at the airport(you%26#39;ll need to have a mobile phone though...), and as the trip is around 20 mins you%26#39;ll be able to tell the driver your arrival time. I think there are the small %26quot;in town%26quot; electric buses by the bus station too, they might be helpful ?
